The Department of Respiratory Medicine, Fukuoka University Hospital, provides a wide range of diagnoses and treatments for all kinds of respiratory diseases, such as lung cancer, interstitial lung disease, COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease), asthma, respiratory tract infections (including COVID-19) and sleep apnea syndrome. The diagnostic services include roentgenogram, high-resolution computed tomography, spirogram, polysomnography, thoracoscopy and bronchoscopy (transbronchial biopsy, endobronchial ultrasound and bronchoalveolar lavage).
