Department of Ophthalmology
About Us
Our Ophthalmology Department strives to provide consistent and excellent service to our patients. Since its establishment in 1972, we have provided high-quality care and management for patients with different eye diseases. The department is subdivided into seven specialties: ocular surface diseases, ocular inflammatory and immunology, glaucoma, pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus, vitreo-retina, cataract and comprehensive ophthalmology, and ocular trauma in general. Presently, corneal transplants and retinal surgeries account for the majority of surgical procedures. We have also further expanded our anterior eye segment treatments using the selfobtained and prepared amniotic membranes for severe cases. As a continuous effort to achieve the highest quality standards, our staff work as a team with integrity and are actively involved globally for improvements in patient care. Our mission is to advance eye health by integrating excellent clinical care, research, and education.
