The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology provides a high level of medical service for women with a wide range of medical concerns in the fields of perinatal medicine, reproductive endocrinology and infertility, women's health care, and gynecologic oncology.
Perinatal Medicine
The Maternal Fetal Intensive Care Unit (MFICU), Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) of our department have been designated as a General Perinatal Care Unit Center by the Japanese Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare.
The 24-hour Emergency System
Every possible treatment for pregnant women and neonates or infants with medical concerns can be performed in our emergency care unit, along with surgical treatment for women with urgent gynecological concerns.
Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility
Common treatments for infertility, and special treatments for endometriosis or uterine myoma are performed via endoscope. These scopic techniques are recognized as non-invasive and convenient or the patients receiving them. All patients who undergo these treatments are easily return to the regular activities of their daily lives.
Woman Health Care
Women with many kinds of indefinite complaints are treated with hormone replacement therapy or herbal medicine. Through these therapeutic procedures, we aim to improve symptoms for women as their reproductive capacity decreases.
Gynecologic Tumor
Patients with uterine, cervical, endometrial or ovarian cancer are treated with surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy or a combined treatment.
