The General Medicine Department of Fukuoka University Hospital was established in 2005. Recent progress in the subspecialties of medicine have saved many lives in Japan. However, people who become sick do not go to see a specialist at first but to general physicians. They make a diagnosis and treat the patients if the disease is common and mild. When the disease is severe or needs further examination, GPs introduce those patients to specialists.

Our mission is to make a diagnosis and treat emergency patients as the primary care physician. We also educate resident doctors for general internal medicine and emergency medicine which are expected to be mastered by all clinicians. We open the clinic for out-patients from Monday to Friday, and if necessary, patients can be hospitalized to our ward. If you get sick and ill, please come to our clinic.
